On July 1, 2008, the current Mortgage Brokers Act will be withdrawn and the new Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006 will go into full effect. When the new Act goes into effect, all current Mortgage Broker registrations will expire, and all Mortgage Brokerages, Administrators, Brokers and Agents will require a licence to do business in Ontario.
