Licensing Changes - Third Quarter 1992
The following changes have occurred to insurers' licences during the quarter ended September 30, 1992.
New Insurers:

Société de Réassurance des Assurances Mutuelles Agricoles was licensed on August 13, 1992 to write accident and sickness, aircraft, automobile, boiler and machinery, fidelity, hail liability, marine, property and surety, (limited to the business of reinsurance). Discontinuing & Withdrawing Insurers:
Annuity Life Insurance Company's policy liabilities have been assumed by Laurier Life Insurance Company, effective January 1, 1991. Annuity Life Insurance Company's licence has been cancelled, effective July 31, 1992.
The Capitol Life Insurance Company's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective August 26, 1992.
Chrysler Life Insurance Company of Canada's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective August 28, 1992.
Foremost Insurance Company Grand Rapids, Michigan's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective September 14, 1992
Metropolitan Insurance Company's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective September 14, 1992.
The New India Assurance Company, Limited's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective September 8, 1992.
Pacific Employers Insurance Company's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective July 16, 1992.
Sovereign Marine & General Insurance Company Limited's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective July 14, 1992.
Transit Insurance Company's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective July 20, 1992.
United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company's licence has been amended to reflect a discontinuing status, effective July 24, 1992.
Changes to Licences:
The Ayr Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company's licence has been amended to reflect its new name, Ayr Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company, effective July 24, 1992.
The Canadian Surety Company's licence has been amended to add the marine class of insurance, effective September 2, 1992.
Laurentian P&C Insurance Company's licence has been amended to add the marine class of insurance, effective September 21, 1992.
The Non-Marine Underwriters, Members of Lloyd's London, England's licence has been amended to add the credit class of insurance, effective July 17, 1992.
Quebec Health Services' licence has been amended to reflect its new name, SSQ, Life Insurance Company Inc., effective July 6, 1992.
The Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance Company, Limited's licence has been amended to add the fidelity class of insurance, effective September 14, 1992.
Unione Italiana di Riassicurazione S.p.A.'s licence has been amended to add the hail class of insurance, effective July 23, 1992.
